Emerald Alliance House System

House System for students in grades 6 through 12:

Secondary school is a transformative time for young people. While academic growth is central to our mission, research and experience tell us that students achieve their best when they feel safe, valued, and connected. Inspired by successful educational models like the Ron Clark Academy, our new House System is designed to strengthen our school culture by directly integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and fostering a deep sense of belonging across all grade levels which strengthens and supports good mental health.

What is the House System?

Upon entering the school, every student and staff member will be sorted into one of several distinct Houses. Students will remain in their assigned House throughout their entire middle and high school journey. Rather than separating students strictly by grade level, each House will be an intermixed community of 6th through 12th graders. Within these smaller groups, students will engage in regular team-building activities, community service projects, friendly academic and characterbased competitions, and dedicated mentorship time.
